LIPOcel uses medical grade High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) heat energy to permanently reduce subcutaneous fat (the stubborn fat that sits above the muscle and below the skin). LIPOcel uses HIFU (High intensity focused ultrasound technology to target and destroy fat cells. The ultrasound energy penetrates the skins surface and is targeted to a specific depth of 13mm, where this energy is converted into heat energy of 70 ˚˚ C. This heat energy provides the optimal temperature to create thermal coagulation and the rupture of fat cell. The stored fat undergoes lipolysis as this process will facilitate the movement of the fat through the bloodstream. The fat cells then crystalise and are naturally excreted from the body as waste products. The thermal energy also acts to triggers the surrounding collagen to contract, which in turn leads to tighter firmer skin.

What areas can be treated?

LIPOcel is suitable for treating both female and males that have stubborn and pinchable subcutaneous fat deposits that seem to remain even with diet and exercise. LIPOcel does not treat visceral fat that surrounds the organs. Sculpting is not suitable as an obesity treatment and is not to replace the importance of a balanced lifestyle.

LIPOcel cooling technology acts to enhance client comfort during the treatment by minimising surface thermal heating. During the treatment, you may experience a series of short but intense muscle contractions followed by a rapid tapping sensation in the treatment area. Some clients experience mild discomfort and describe it as a mild cramp or deep tingling, but it is not painful.

There is no downtime or recovery period as LIPOcel offers a non-invasive solution to fat reduction. This makes it a convenient way to achieve contouring goals in which you can resume to normal activities immediately after the procedure.

There is no associated risk in the treated fat cells hardening with LIPOcel. The procedure is safe and effective with minimal risks or side effects. However, like with any medical procedure, some clients may experience mild side effects such as swelling, bruising, skin irritation, and sometimes parts of the treated area may experience numbness. However, these are temporary and would resolve themselves within a few days.

The technology is highly efficient in delivering result. Some clients experience immediate results of between 5% - 30% reduction in the treated fat layer. Though more commonly, results between 20% - 40% reduction of the treated fat layer are more noticeable between 4 – 6 weeks after treatment. This is the approximate period of largest reduction, however depending on an individual’s natural metabolism, these results may take longer as the treatment continues to reduce fat up to 12 weeks.

Depending on the depth of the fat layer and the intended desired results, 2-4 treatments is recommended. A person response to treatment varies in nature, and is dependent on natural metabolism, lifestyle like diet and exercise. However, multiple treatments are recommended to optimal results and greater fat reduction.

For treatment plans with multiple treatments of body sculpting, it is recommended to leave 4 – 6 weeks between treatments to achieve best results.
